While we had our sticky wall up for our sticky flower garden activity I decided to use the same space to practice number formation with Tinker in this sticky number activity.
We used the same contact paper that was taped to the wall sticky side facing out. Then I used a permanent marker to write large numbers.
We grabbed a container of flower petals from all of the activities we’d been doing.
And Tinker got to work adding the flower petals to the number templates. As she did we talked about the numbers she was making.
When she was finished we had a pretty number garden hanging on the wall.
We extended the play a bit by gathering some of our play bugs and butterflies. She used them to crawl along the numbers for a while. Then I called out numbers at random and she would hop or fly her bug to the appropriate number.

Where did you find the sticky wall paper?

Hi Perla,
For the sticky wall, I used contact paper that you can find in a roll at Wal-mart or Target. I taped it to the wall using painter’s tape with the sticky side facing outward.
