Even after all of our math, sensory and craft activities with our bouquet of flowers, we had more flower petals left. And you know we don’t like to waste materials, so we decided to use the rest of our flower petals to make some cards. They are quick to make and can be used for any occasion: birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, teacher appreciation, friendship, you name it.
We started by taping a small (approximately 6 inches by 10 inches) piece of Contact paper sticky side up on the table.
Then the girls randomly added flower petals.
We folded the Contact paper in half and pressed out any air bubbles.
Next we cut out a shape in the front of our card. We chose a heart, but you could choose any design that you like.
After taping the Contact paper to the inside of the card we had a pretty see through cover. The girls used markers to decorate the inside of the card and write special messages.
And that’s it! A quick kid made card for any occasion!
