In this free Spring Theme Syllable Sort, your kids will learn to hear and isolate parts in a word. Students will practice segmenting words by clapping or tapping and then counting the number of syllables in the word. Students will sort words into sets based on the number of syllables.

This is a phonological awareness activity that can be used as students learn vocabulary about the four seasons. Here we intentionally focus on the sounds in the word and picture clues (as opposed to presenting the written word).
