We like reusing and repurposing as many items as we can, and I love to see my kids coming up with creative new uses for discarded objects. This week’s theme for Discover & Explore is recycled crafts. I can’t wait to see what creative ideas everyone has to share.

Here on Fantastic Fun and Learning we’ve shared a couple of fun recycled crafts.

This egg carton sea life set was a wonderful summer project that we enjoyed making and playing with together.

More Egg Carton Crafts: We’ve also made egg carton bats, egg carton bells for music play and egg carton Christmas trees for some festive holiday fun.

A recycled coffee creamer containers makes a great penguin for playing games and pretend play.

Upcycled Adelie Penguin Craft for Kids Activities

Old jars can easily be made into beautiful luminaries to decorate for holidays or any time of year. We made these sparkly jar candles to decorate for the Fourth of July.

And we made these jar candles to decorate for Halloween.

Halloween Jar Candles

Turn an old apple sauce container into a boat and experiment with making it sail. Ours was the Mayflower, but your child could have fun designing a boat of his or her choice.

    These are so very cute! We love a great reuse and this starts the kids thinking about reusing too. Gotta love that!
