Getting Started with Nursery Rhymes
To prepare for a nursery rhyme lesson in your classroom, be sure to add a good nursery rhyme collection to your class library. Kids will love looking at rhymes over and over again once they learn the words. Some teachers choose to weave in nursery rhymes throughout the school year, or to dedicate full theme to a specific nursery rhyme as kids show an interest or it ties into other related themes. There’s no wrong way to introduce nursery rhymes. Just have fun with them!
