Healthy Flower Snacks for Kids

When I first thought about this week’s Discover and Explore theme I was sure I’d be sharing a Mother’s Day craft, but after some thought I decided I don’t want to ruin the surprise for the Buddies’ Mom. She’s awesome and reads regularly about what we’re up to, and she deserves a special Mother’s Day surprise just from her boys.

Instead I decided to add to our healthy snacks series, and I had a little fun collecting some healthy flower snacks for kids. Lovey has been very interested in helping prepare snacks lately, and she has always been artistic. We’re going to be working together to make some of these flower snacks soon.

I love that most of these snacks involve only a couple of ingredients and are very easy to put together. I hope you like them as much as I do.

This is making me hungry! LOL These look beautiful and totally doable for kids. What a terrific idea. My son’s latest obsession is grapes so he’ll be particularly happy to make all the creations incorporating that fruit I’m sure. 🙂

I love how creative people get with the snacks they prepare, and I love your plan to have your daughter make some of these herself.

I love the creative snacks, too. Usually we don’t make too many, but I’m excited to do a bit more now that the kids enjoy being a part of meal prep time.

Love this post! I’ve always thought that flowers were one of the easiest and most fun things to make using food! Loving the other creations by other moms! Thanks for sharing! The kids will love these 🙂

I know what you mean, Stephanie! But here’s the great part…and part of my plan…you get to prep the materials and let the girls create their own flower snack with them! We did this for our tree snack recently, and the kids loved it! I bet yours would, too.
