When we were planning our recent family trip we went back and forth deciding how to get where we wanted to go. Ultimately we decided to fly, and I was so thankful for the great tips shared by Rachael of Nothing if Not Intentional. You can see her tips in the original Discover and Explore vacation theme post.

Who knows how we’ll travel for our next family trip?  When it’s time to decide, I’ll be looking back at these helpful posts.

Family Trips--Planes, Trains, Boats or Cars? Choosing HOW to get where you are going for a family trip can be a big decision. These resources can help you choose which transportation might be best for your next family trip.

A great collection of ideas! We are road tripping this Friday, so I jumped over to KC Edventures for some tips 🙂

My favorite was to get out and stretch your legs often. I’m horrible at this one. I so badly want to get where I’m going in record time that I hate stopping even for potty breaks whether it’s my 3 year old or my husband! We travel by car to LA from the Bay Area often and we are doing it again Friday. Maybe, just, maybe I’ll actually let the kids out of the car for some fun!

Thanks for gathering all these great tips and thanks for the feature!!

So glad you popped over to check out Jacquie’s tips! I will say I was very much like you before having kids, but since then I’ve learned to love stopping along the way during our road trips. We find the most interesting places to visit, and it really makes the whole trip even more exciting.
