Last month I mentioned that we’re thrilled to be ambassadors for Busch Gardens Tampa. If you missed that post, I shared the reasons I think Busch Gardens is great to visit with young kids. As part of the ambassadorship the girls and I visited the park again to experience the Christmas Town festivities. Wow, did we leave with some great memories!

Busch Gardens Christmas Town Holiday Family Fun

Since we were just at the park a few weeks ago they had a vivid image of what it looked like without all of the holiday decor. From the instant we got to the entrance, they were in awe of all the holiday details. With giant ornaments waiting at the gates, live greeters in costume and gorgeous holiday decor, the girls had a ton to look at. And they instantly decided we were taking pictures–LOTS of pictures! They found festive holiday displays all through the park to take beautiful and fun pictures.

Photo Spots at Christmas Town With all of the holiday excitement they were worried that they wouldn’t get to see some of their favorites from the previous visit. But after revisiting a few of the kids’ rides, they realized that visiting during Christmas Town means you get all of the animals and rides you love with the added bonus of holiday shows, decorations, treats, and more! They were thrilled!

We also enjoy seeing shows while we are at theme parks, and the holiday entertainment at Christmas Town is terrific. There are many shows and displays for kids and grownups of all ages. Both girls enjoyed seeing Elmo and friends in Elmo’s Christmas Wish, and their favorite show of the day was the Christmas on Ice skating show. It was wonderful!

When planning your visit to Christmas Town think about how long your kids will be able to stay and enjoy the festivities, and plan accordingly. You’ll definitely want to be there once the sun sets to see all the gorgeous Christmas lights and participate in the events that happen during the night only.

After 4 pm Christmas Town Village opens with beautiful lights, delicious treats, the Jingle Bell Junction Kiddie Train, and the Jingle Bell Junction Model Train Display.

And before you leave you must ride the Sing-Along Christmas Town Express. It is an experience your family will cherish. Trust me!

As we left the park the girls were already begging to come back again next year. It’s pretty clear the Christmas Town Busch Gardens Tampa will be one of our must-do Christmas activities for years to come!

Have you been to Christmas Town? Do you have any tips to share with those who are going for the first time?  Add them in the comments!
