Weekly Wrap-Up

This week was slow and easy.We did a few Christmas crafts, but other than that we spent a lot of time relaxing and playing outside. The big kids had fun making dot paint creations. Lovey was most proud of her Christmas tree.

All of the kids continued to play with the gingerbread felt set we made last week.

Lovey and I will be going to see a performance of The Nutcracker on Saturday, so this week we read a few different versions of the story. We also made ribbon and bell streamers. The kids LOVED dancing with them while we watched The Nutcracker. (Did I really think I was going to capture a decent picture?)

Dancing

Tinker has been so much fun this week. I love this age! She loves to roll around on the soft rug in her room and can’t get enough of “peek-a-boo!”

She is also becoming quite the little mommy. She spends a lot of time feeding and caring for her babies.

But she is still Tinker, and she loves tinkering with the little toys in our house.

We have a new climber in the house! Little Buddy surprised us this week by climbing to the top of our little playground. He gets SO excited when he gets there. We all love to watch his victory dance!

We made footprint angels this week. Lovey made one as a toddler, and I wanted to have one for Tinker, too. All four kids have a little footprint angel so that we can remember how tiny those little feet once were.

I think the girls’ favorite moment of the week must have been our Grinch Bath to go with Grinch Family Night. At least three times since then Lovey has said, “Do you remember when we had the Grinch Bath. That was cool!”

This afternoon we are taking a “field trip” with the boys and their mom to a local Christmas tree farm before it closes down for the year. The kids are SO excited (and I am, too)!

Here is a recap of this week’s posts in case you missed anything.

Oh I wish I had little ones again — such sweetness at this time of year.

    Merry Christmas to you!

I do cherish these early years! But I see your posts about all the fun and special things that lie ahead, and it helps keep me from getting too sentimental about the girls getting older.
