Last week we shared three different investigations inspired by a bag of lollipops. Once we had dissolved our lollipops and created our own new lollipops flavors, we still had some liquid left over. It seemed like a great opportunity to explore the different states of matter. It just so happened that we ended up with a yummy treat, too! Seems like the perfect end to a fun series of experiments!

Make Your Own Lollipop Popsicles
1. Dissolve assorted lollipops in warm water. Discuss how you are changing from a solid to a liquid. See how we sorted and dissolved our lollipops.
2. You can either make your lollipop popsicles using the unmixed liquids, or you can experiment with creating your own unique flavors like we did is on our flavor mixing science experiment.
3. When your liquids are ready, add them to your favorite popsicle molds. We used our Tovolo Blue Rocket Pops molds. Once they are frozen talk about how making the liquid colder helped transform it back into a solid state.
4. Then eat up quickly before it returns to a liquid state and drips down your arms!
