We are three days away from Daddy returning from a two-week long trip. I don’t know about your children, but mine DO NOT cope well when Daddy travels. They miss him so much, and it shows. When he is gone I do my best to give them as many extra snuggles as I can, so much of this week was full of us just sitting, reading, and snuggling. Of course, there were a lot of phone calls, Skype, and FaceTime, too. When Daddy couldn’t be reached, Tinker called him on her own phone to say, “Daddy, I wuv oo.” Love her!

Mimi kept Lovey busy in the kitchen this week. They baked almost every night! Cakes, muffins, and banana bread galore.

Tinker loves to look at books. She spent a lot of time this week rocking in her chair “reading” books. She will go through an entire bin of books before she is ready to do something else. I can’t quite get the Halloween books away from her yet.

In addition to our patriotic activities for Election Day and Veterans Day, we learned about the letter J this week. I will share more about our Jack and the Beanstalk fun next week.

For Lovey J also meant jewels! And what goes well with jewels? Dress-up!

For more about our week you can see some of the learning activities shared in this week’s posts.
