There are so many different skills to incorporate into our busy lesson plans with young kids, so whenever I can find an activity that touches on a variety of key areas, I’m in! This not only saves me time when planning but also exposes my preschoolers and kindergarteners to a variety of different skills at once, allowing us to revisit concepts regularly. We used this transportation emergent reader to go with our transportation theme activities and also used the repetitive and simple text as a way for my students to get used to concepts of print and beginning sight words.
