We are less than two weeks away from the first Poppins Book Nook monthly book club. Posts will be shared on Monday, March 25, 2013. The theme for this month is Knights, Princesses and Castles.

We read through quite a few books related to this theme, and the one Lovey (age 4) seemed to enjoy most was The Queen of France. Technically I was trying to do a princess book, but Lovey has always been a “queen” kind of girl. As a two-year-old I remember her declaring, “I not a pwincess Mommy! I a QUEEN” in toddler speak after I mistakenly referred to her as a princess.  I am excited to share the activities we did that were inspired by darling little Rose, the main character of this book.

Each participating blog will be choosing another book related to this theme, and from the looks of it there are going to be a ton of great books and activities for all different age groups.

You can learn more about the Poppins Book Nook and some of the books that will be featured this month on our Facebook page.

Posts in this series will go live on the last Monday of every month. Here is a list of upcoming themes we will be exploring.
