Watching the Olympics can be very inspiring for kids. I know mine are gliding across the floor pretending to be ice skaters and jumping off the couch in preparation for their next big ski jump.

Why not use the enthusiasm to plan your own Olympics at home? You could include any events your family would enjoy doing together. Here are some great ideas from last week’s Discover and Explore Olympics theme to get you started.

Plan Your Own Play Olympics...featured posts from the Discover and Explore linky

Make your own Olympic Passports with this free printable from JDaniel4’s Mom.

Make an Olympic torch like this one from Mum in the Madhouse and host an opening ceremony.

Plan your own Olympics-inspired backyard games with these fun ideas from Rain or Shine Mama.

And don’t forget to make your own medals to hand out after the backyard games are done.

These posts and other highlights have been pinned to the Discover and Explore Pinterest Board.
