Along with all the fun we’ve been having with flowers, we just had to make a flower play dough invitation. Gather a few craft items you probably have around the house, and see what beautiful play dough garden emerges once your kids get going.
Materials

- Playdough made from a recipe in The Homemade Play Dough Recipe Book and Wilton Icing Colors (We actually cheated and reused the play dough from our bunny play dough invitation.)
- Flower cutters from the Wilton 101 Piece Cookie Cutter Set
- Leaves from artificial flowers (use ones from other projects if you have them)
- Green chenille stems
- Colorful buttons
- Assorted gems
Both of the girls used the cutters to make flowers (sometimes they choose not to use them).
They each chose different ways to decorate their flowers. Lovey preferred a more minimal approach while Tinker preferred to cover the whole flower in as many decorations as possible.
Regardless of the method they chose, all of the flowers turned out lovely.
And we had a decorative flower garden once they were finished.
